PCS Technical Bulletin 1 - Fullriver Batteries

January 6, 2012

After significant testing and analysis conducted by Pro Charging Systems, LLC for Fullriver Battery USA, Fullriver has asked PCS to make a charging profile modification. We will be moving from the previously approved DeltaVolt Alogorithm to Fullriver’s recently modified “IUU” charging algorithm for their AGM batteries. While Fullriver provided very favorable feedback during out testing process, they have now directed that their own IUU charging algorithm be utilized on their batteries.

While we still believe the DeltaVolt profile provides superior charging and run times, we acknowledge Fullriver’s request and will provide the IUU profile, when specified by our customers. The IUU algorithm was recently updated, April 2011 (REV0411), by Fullriver, and this new profile as listed on Fullriver’s website will be the profile we will provide. As modified, the IUU profile now includes an absorption stage not to exceed eight (8) hours and a minimum of eight (8) hours in the float stage. Charging times utilizing this profile may require durations close to twenty (20) hours depending on the depth of discharge (DOD) of the battery pack involved.

If you are currently using a Pro Charging Systems Eagle Performance Series (EPS), a Sportsman(SS) or a Professional Series (PS) charger with Fullriver AGM batteries, we ask that you contact our technical services department (1-800-742-2740 Ext 1) and arrange to have the appropriate charging algorithm installed. On your EPS charger we will also add our latest DeltaVolt code update, which can be utilized with all other flooded and other AGM batteries. The product’s label will also be updated to reflect the Fullriver IUU profile being added. Our technical services team can answer any questions you may have concerning this modification or any other technical issue.
